Medical appraisal has been a requirement for consultants since 2001 and for general practitioners (GPs) since 2002. Our appraisers are highly experienced, we value clinical time and understand the importance of ensuring quality appraisals. Medical appraisal is a process of facilitated self-review supported by information gathered from the full scope of a doctor’s work. Our vision of the appraisal is the opportunity to share protective time with colleagues from similar or different specialities, reflect and focus on the individual scope of work.

As doctors we want to deliver excellent standards and to accomplish it, The Doctors League ensured that all of the appraisers are experienced practising consultants from different backgrounds and specialities. The clinical team within The Doctors League is kept abreast on their appraiser training and implements their practice in line with the GMC and NHS England guidance. This enables The Doctors League to provide not only a confidential, trustworthy and professional service but also guarantee more than an appraisal service.
